ABOUT

The idea of the national challenge is to get all levels of Dual Bike adventure riders an equal chance to participate in categories that suit their skills; as well as also allowing instructors and other professional riders the opportunity to participate.

The format & rules of this competition has been agreed upon by all event owners.

Adventure Riders SA will be the main organiser, and will be the administrator for the challenge. Rankings will be managed and updated by the following Wednesday after each challenge event.

BASIC RULES

This endeavour is all about fun - but here are a few rules we need:

  • Minimum 600cc motorbike
  • You must register annually to participate for the year's Series
  • Entrance to each challenge must be done at least 1 week before the event
  • Minimum riding gear: helmet, gloves, riding boots, riding pants, riding jacket or ballistics
  • You need to participate in at least three of the events in the year to be able to qualify for finals

The following precedents will be implemented for all future events:

  • One day challenge events (those not associated with weekend adventure riding events), will have a morning track and an afternoon track. Course times and time penalties of these two tracks will be combined to determine results. Should weather or other factors prevent the afternoon track, there will be no further tracks, and the fully participated track will be used for scoring and subsequent ranking.
  • Scores will be at your disposal for perusal at the end of the last track on the day. We encourage participants to review and query should you be uncertain about your results, before the awards ceremony.
  • Subsequently, scores are final at the closing of the event and will not be reviewed after the fact.
  • Results will be published on the website by the Wednesday following the event for your comparison with other events.
